Welcome to the Virginia Association for Play Therapy
The purpose of VAPT is to provide a forum for the discussion of play therapy ideas and concerns. The specific objectives of VAPT include the following:
- to advance the discipline of play therapy.
- to provide training in play therapy through on-going professional development.
- to promote sound play therapy practices.
- to inform and educate the public about theory and practice of play therapy.
- to establish contacts with various organizations for support and educational pursuits.
- to advocate for the rights of children, their families, and significant others.
